Gordon himself completly omits the verse in "Cotton Jenny" that goes:"In the hot, sickly south. Where they say,well shut my mouth!" I can't blame him really but a simple change in phrasing is all that was really needed. I personally change it to:"In the hot,misty south. Where the Mississippi flows to the mouth." A lot better,don't you think. It's nice that he doesn't want to offend people but just change the words,don't erase history completely. It's been me and I'll catch ya on the flipside of Sundown!
