one was 1975 and the other was 1987. 12 more years of cigarettes and alcohol - well not alcohol, but it's just the aging process. I think GG vol 2 has a really instrumental backing, but it his voice is too nasal for some songs. East of Midnight also has that GG vol 2 voice. I'm not too big on the voice on the rerecorded songs on GG vol1 for some reason. I prefer the originals for some reason. But the voice came back on summertime dream. GG vol 2 was recorded in like a live sttings, if i'm correct. There weren't any overdubs I think as well.
