I've been to most of those Route 1 cities very often, John, as our family (when I was a teen) used to go in our truck/camper up the California/Oregon/Washington coast and stay in campgrounds, and visit interesting sites along the way most summers. (Wow, that was a long sentence, wasn't it, ha?!) Many pleasant memories. I loved the tiny town of Cambria. In fact, I hardly think it even can count as a "town." It was just a restaurant, a souvenir store, and a B & B (bed and breakfast) as I seem to recall -- of course, we're talking... oh...38 years ago. Egads, I'm older than dirt, ha! (to quote a fellow corfidian) I wonder how old the town of Harmony is.
