since I don't have memories of hearing Lightfoot on the radio like you did (simply because I am too young to), I heard Sundown for the first time on the radio ever a couple of days ago, and the first time I heard it on the radio, I thought that I was going insane for a moment because the only Lightfoot song I heard on the radio was the re-mixed Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald (which actually helped me become a fan of the man).

You see, I had bought Sundown before I had EVER heard any of the tunes on the radio. I merely listened to the sound clips, liked the sound clips, and got the album. I thought that that the title track sounded very familiar and maybe subconsciously I heard it before, but as far as I knew, I had never heard the title track before I bought the album.

Anyway, so my point is, I heard Sundown on the radio and I said "Oh my god, it's Gordon Lightfoot and it's Sundown!!!"

Okay, practically everyone else has heard it on the radio before except me, but for ME, it was my first time hearing the song OTHER than hearing it only on the album! It felt like a big deal to me
