This topic has revived pleasant memories of the great 1958 comedy film called coincidentally "Mon Oncle" by "Tatty Jack"
If you ever saw it you'll never forget the architectural wonders of his house
and especially the decoration of his Swimmimg Pool
I really must try to find a library with a copy it is many years since I last saw Monsieur Hulot
in that film or his earlier 1953 "vacances" epic
