Watchman,
I'm sorry to hear that Snagglesworth isn't into canoeing because of his disability. Adaptive canoeing equipment now exists, with the capacity to overcome virtually any limitations, physical or otherwise. (This stuff is costly, of course, but with the blockbuster hits your man has composed, the cost would be mere pocket change to him.) If you see your friend J.G., you might mention it. There's no reason for him to miss out on a good thing.
