a lot of what gets written about on this site has little do with Gordon Lightfoot but an awful lot to do with the ageing fantasies and desires of people in their late 40s, 50s and 60s who remember a better time when they were thinner and not so wise - forget fantasies of Gord - it only adds to some huge burden the poor fellow has to live under - everyone has feet of clay. the songs themselves are enough. shoot me for saying so!
