mHayes40,could you possibly be talking about Rod Stewart's,"Rhythm Of My Heart"? If so it came out in 1991,I forget the CD title but it was a big hit. Given the slight clues you gave,I think that might be it. If I'm wrong,then I'm wrong but I can't think of another tune off hand. Hope I helped. Later!
