I never have seen that national geographic special. I did see in Jan. of 1983 the PBS film,"Miracle Of Life" in it's very 1st airing.
When it aired I only had "sort of" an idea about how babies come into the world. Thanks to that film (and my mom's shyness about the "birds and the bees" ) I finally got the clear picture.
My God-daughter watched it just a few weeks ago,a "big" eye-opener for her too.
