Lightfoot Medley Kenny Rogers & the First Edition
 

From their 1970's TV Show Rolling on the River which was shot in Toronto. Kenny, Kin Vassy , Mary Arnold and Terry Williams do an outstanding Lightfoot medley of For Loving Me. Did She Mention My Name, If You Could Read My Mind and Early Morning Rain. The original air Date was January 1972. I remember this from that showing. Good versions. Is it my imagination or was the musical performance pre-recorded? (e g "Early Morning Rain" had a prominent flute, but there was no flautist on camera.)

Could have been pre-recorded.. Shows back then had a lot of that. This was a Canadian production - CTV. CBC also gave American artists their own shows back then when American TV wouldn't. Same Davis couldn't get on TV in the U.S. but CBC gave him his own show here in Canada..
