Must've Had Your Reasons
 

Greetings, I haven't posted here for a long time though I occasionally have lurked a bit. Good to see this group, along with Gord is still going strong.

At any rate, I was listening to one of the Mountain Tracks live recording by Yonder Mountain String Band. One of my favorites by them and one on this CD is "Must've Had Your Reasons." At the end of the song, the singer, I think Ben Kaufman remarked that he stole the melody from Gordon Lightfoot. While I hear some similarities to GL's style, I can't pinpoint any particular song. None of the links to the song on Youtube seem to work for me, so the only link I have is to a fairly decent cover.

Maybe I'm crazy but the first line sounds a bit like the first line of the melody in Carefree Highway. But this song is so much faster, I'm not sure.
