Canadian Raonic leading in Aus.Open semi
Canada's Milos Raonic is currently leading Britain's Andy Murray 2 sets to 1 in their Australian Open semi-final at Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne. The winner will play Serbia's Novak Djokovic in the Men's Singles Final just over 45 hours from now. The Women's Singles Final just over 21 hours from now is between USA's Serena Williams and Germany's Angelique Kerber.
I was sorry to see Canada's Eugenie Bouchard eliminated in the 2nd round. Australia's last-standing singles were Bernard Tomic and Daria Gavrilova, who both lost in the 4th round. No Australian player has won the Australian Open singles since Mark Edmondson in 1976 and Christine O'Neill in 1978. |

Re: Canadian Raonic leading in Aus.Open semi
it was a part of serbia in the former republic of yugoslavia. no need to bring politics into this when there are more important things to celebrate - Serena lost the women's final :)

Re: Canadian Raonic leading in Aus.Open semi
I felt sorry for Milos Raonic, because he got injured soon after leading 2-sets-to-1 and it probably cost him the place against Novak Djokovic in the (first all-Serbian-born Grand Slam) final. To me, Djokovic looks unbeatable, especially after Roger Federer's best effort in their semi-final only managed 1 set. Andy Murray won't have the power, long-rally ability or temperament to match him in this final.
