I read about that on CNN Touhy ,such a bummer.

I also read that same day about Ben E. King (Age 76) and the lead
singer of Hot Chocolate Errol Brown. Co-incidently both Jack and Errol were 71.

Not exactly music relaetd but Suzane Crough
(little Tracy of the fictional 'Partridge Family') passed away at 52.

From the 1980s (when I was a teen ,R & B singer Johnny Kemp drowned in in Montego Bay ,Jamaica he was only 55. He had 2 hits "Just Got Paid" (A huge top 10 hit in 1988) and "Birthday Suit" which barely madethe top 40 in 1989.

Oddly enough ,I heard Just Got Paid ovefr a store speaker the other night.

where the late-great Percy Sledge who was 73.
