I don't remember hearing this one before. Do you know when/where it was recorded?

Nightime was being sung at the end of the 2000 tour in November in Minneapolis MN and Lincoln NE
plus March in Florida
there is a fine bootleg from the November 9 2000 concert in Lincoln
setlist at
http://lightfoot.ca/001109.htm
but it was the only one of the then three new songs performed that evening
all three (
Shellfish ,The No Hotel,Nighttime)
were sung at Glenside PA on May 13 and at Princeton NJ on the 14th
and Massey on the 26th as they had been at Harvard on the 6th

I think it is a pretty good song myself and have never understood why despite several public perfomances it was not included with the other two live 200 Massey recordings on the Harmony CD. Presumably some perceived imperfection in the recordings of Nightime that were no doubt made at the same time as those two precluded its inclusion on that CD or the later "Live"album. So thank goodness for bootlegs!!
