Amalgamating threads that are about ONE concert?
Is it a good thing to put all related threads into one?
i.e. - a pre concert interview is posted, then a newspaper review is posted. then a fan posts a report and setlist. another posts pics. I post some from rick and carter..now we have about 8 separate threads for the same concert... should I run them into one in some sort of chronological order so when you look at the town/venue/date in the subject line you can see it all in one go and not miss some stuff about that particular night?? |
Re: Amalgamating threads that are about ONE concert?
1 date /concert = 1 thread seems a perfectly sound principle as does the chronological idea . What have you been taking Char.? You're suddenly making sense ! There's not someone else who has taken over using an assumed identity is there ?
(The devil made me type that )... |

That sounds great if we start today by posting a show date & place and asking everyone to post all articles concerning that show under that heading.
For you to go back and rearrange past post sounds like a tremendous amount of work. I'm sure you have better things to do (like searching for new pix and little tidbits of info for us to enjoy!) |
Re: Amalgamating threads that are about ONE concert?
lol - even if folks post a new thread I will just merge it with the previous one .. no prob. it won't happen overnight tho-when I have a few minutes i'll just scroll thru and see what I can tidy up... I've always wanted to do it..I did it once a few years ago and got a less than nice reception from someone whose post got merged with an earlier one. So I didn't bother again.
Sometimes I do make sense Steve...sometimes..not all the time tho. lol |
