Forest Fire
 

Tuesday, I was spending the afternoon with my son Joseph, and dog Rosy, down by the Brule River. Nice day. Blue sky. As we were getting ready to leave, I saw something in the distance, and said to my son, that doesn't look like a regular cloud. Instead of heading for home, we went toward what I finally recognized as thick smoke. We had been on douglas county road "S", and then took a right onto hwy 27. Drove a little ways and saw police cars blocking off the side roads...found out it wasn't a controlled burn.
Turned around and went back to the river. When it was dark, went and watched the fire for a while. First time I ever saw a forest fire.

It started in Gordon, WI.
