"Miguel" - original track recorded live, on St. Pete. Beach

Hello all! Greetings to the Gordo fans, old & new...
This is my rendition of a great song from the "Summer Side Of Life" album,
which still had the awesume Red Shea at the helm of lead guitar, with new bassist Rick Haynes.
The whole album in my opinion is stellar. Gord invited some of the hottest
nashville players, including some bluegrass greats ( check out "Redwood Hill").
It's no wonder Tony Rice did a whole album of Gords' songs.
If you dig this one, I've got some more coming out. You are also invited to check out his influence on my songwriting below:http://www.myspace.com/robaptheker2/...-road-48426984

...and here:

PLEASE let me know, "IF IT SHOULD PLEASE YOU"!
Thanks for listening...
Rob Aptheker [a.k.a. Robby Lake]

Thanks JJ and Charlene and to the first person who posted. Last week I put the finishing touches on Sundown (my fomer drummer left his tamborine here for a week). That will be on very soon. Jim Gordon played drums on that album.
By the way, Jim Gordon, famously known for being in Eric Clapton's band and co writting "layla" with Clapton, would have been the opimum choice for Gord and the gang. He had worked as a studio drummer thru Warner Bros. for years; backing up a ton of icons from Joni Mitchell to Jose Feleciano.
I think he went nuts and they had to put him in an asylum. Very, Vey sad.
I'm also looking forward to doing some of my new tunes along with:
1 Spin, Spin
2 A Tree too Week To Stand
3 Cherokee Bend
with some songs by the late Jim Croce & Phil Ochs, C.S.N. and Ian Tyson.
Thanks to all of you from your comments! Keep 'em coming and don't hold back...this IS a therepy session. (only kidding!)

Brian...
On that album "Back Here On Earth", Gord capos on the 3rd and 2nd.
On Unsettled Ways, I do the freted open A with one finger, then alterate to the normal way by crammin' those 3 fingers in their then back to fretting the open A with my pinky 3 frets up[ on the high E string; for that full A5th feel.
At The Bridge, tht A7 to D7, thumbing the F# bass note from time to time.
Great Blues song. A D E A. At the End, listen to Red, I think those are 9th
or M13th inversions. "Don't Beat Me Down" is probably my favorite tune there.
O.K., GET TO IT!
