As some of you know I have made a couple of posts about meeting the members of the group Kenny Rogers and the First Edition last year. I went to one of their houses in Tennesse for a BBQ and First Edition reunion.. anyways they all knew and were all big fans of Gordon.

I posted a video that I took at the reunion of Mickey Jones (the drummer) talking about Gordon on youtube

When they did their TV show Rollin on the river, I recalled they did a Lightfoot medley one day, that at one time I had on a lonegone cassette tape.

I found the show date

Jan 29, 1972 - Tonight's show stars Dr. Music, Murray McLauchlan and Julie Amato. Kenny Rogers and the First Edition do a Gordon Lightfoot medley of "If You Could Read My Mind" and "Did She Mention My Name?".

Now that I know the show date I'm going to email Mickey and see if he can get me the clip

Bad news....
Mickey can't get me the clip because of copyright issuses with
the producer of the show
