Anyone 'make the setlist??!!'

Was curious if any other Corfidians 'made the setlist' for the new ALL LIVE album?

Translation : Anyone else actually at the performances on the album?

My family and I were at the concert for tracks 13 "Christian Island" and 16 "Let It Ride".

Kind of neat to make that connection after all these years!!!!!!! (My kids were pretty young then, but they still remember.)

I wasn't there, myself, but I know lots of folks who were.

I'll let them speak for themselves...........

I was there in May, 2001 I think.

yes you were Cathy! me too- and several of the other dates in earlier years too.
He chose the songs he did according to what's relevant in concerts now, the overall sound and what he sounded like, no lyric errors etc..

Um, yes, you most certainly were there. In fact, if you scroll to the bottom of the Photo Album page on your web site, you'll find the nice video montage that another Corfidian put together and posted on You Tube. It's mostly you!

Lots of familiar faces, and a few that we don't see much of anymore. I did get to see Derek this past January in Portland, OR!

The folks playing were the "original" Lightfoot Tribute Band. I think all of them except Cathy have been to Massey in the last three years or so.

I need to make my hotel reservations soon!

PS: Char was the kind hostess of that Char-B-Q.

ahh, char...thanks for the inside scoop... that makes sense... kind of a keepsake for a certain profile (the majority) of current concert goers

i showed up at the charbque estate/shrine last night... 12 years too late, lol

i regret i've no film or video of early tribute performances going back 35 years now, but do have audio ...there were 'permissions' issues, lol... but there was no touring, just a few performance dates

for kicks, all should check out cool 60's and 70's recordings of our timeless heroes, ron jones and ed mullen... last time i saw ed (perform) he commented he hadn't performed in ten years but jams often and has many of them wonderfully archived:cool: ...ron is booked solid for 2012 ...the energizer bunny:clap:

i don't know when former broadcaster, mike fornes got the bug, but he's playing up in Michigan in a group they call the lightfoot tribute band:)

yes, cathy... "toronto in may":) ..just love the footage of you and 'teen', Kenyon

VaL, the video won't play for me. When I click it, I get a link to you tube and when I click that nothing happens.

I too was there for each of the nights. Hard to believe it's been more than 14 years since Jenney and I met at Sam's Records for the release of A Painter Passing Through and then wandered into Massey Hall that Tuesday afternoon prior to the 4 night in May of 1998. Lots of great memories and friends were made over those 4 days!

In many ways that was still the best Massey hall for me!

P.S.
the video in Val's link to Cathy's site and the YouTube link I posted of the Massey get together of May 2001 was from footage shot mostly by me and Alan in England and the whole thing was expertly compiled by James-JJ.
There's other footage out there taken by other folks...we're still waiting to see it tho.
lol

that Friends of Lightfoot caption was a play on the Friends of Massey phrase:)

so it was Alan too, i couldn't remember ...you guys did great...the jerky stuff i had to really slo mo to avoid people from having the Blair Witch viewing hurls, lol

i think mr Fowles has footage of you kissing Gord but Susan commented that she has a huge backlog of editing to do on the footage from all their travels...note to Susan: you will never get around to it....raw video overload...edit right away or it will never happen...but dig up this stuff as well as the 1998 stuff i am hearing about...those sound like great memories, guys!

this part 3, also shows Cathy chatting with Gord....where you guys discussion chord progressions or guitars or what? :)

Matt Carl, wonderful multitalent also

look at young Kenyon... a teen paying tribute even back then with the gang, and still going strong today on all fronts...he's been a great band addition:cool:

Such a great video! As are Parts 1 and 2.
And what a great outro - with JJ playing that beautiful piano rendition of "That Same Old Obsession" - just perfect.
I'll always wish I'd been there.
But, hey, we've got more good times ahead! :)
