Question about seating at Massey Hall
Good morning!
Does anyone have experience with sightlines at Massey Hall? I generally like to be as close as possible, see the whites of their eyes ... and that would be seat B44 right centre floor. But if sitting there means only being able to see the northernmost portion of Gordon's forehead the next closest is J15 left centre floor. Massey classifies J15 as best available, but when I search for "floors" I get the B44 seat. This makes me wonder if B is too close and too low. For plays at the Canadian Stage I love 1st & 2nd row seating though you miss some of the set you do see facial expressions. Any experience with the 2nd row seating at Massey for Gordon? I know he tends to stand close to the front of the stage so that's a bonus for the B seats. |
Re: Question about seating at Massey Hall
I have had seats all over Massey Hall since 1973 and I would take the J15 seat.
The interactive function shows the sight lines from all over Massey.. http://www.roythomson.com/mh_seatingplans_popup - just click on the area and you can see the view you will have. 10 rows back in row J and in seat 15 which is an aisle seat would be my choice.. even seats in the first balcony - two centre sections and the sections adjacent and as far back as row 8 or 9 are great seats. terrific sightlines and the sound is the best up there..especially near centre.. even going one more section over in the balcony are good.. |
