Orlando, FL

Just got back from the Orlando show. Nice, intimate venue, only seats about 900 tops.
Here's the setlist: Did She Mention My Name Carefree Highway Sea of Tranquility 14 Karat Gold Never Too Close Painter Passing Through Let It Ride Rainy Day People Shadows Beautiful The Watchman's Gone Ribbon of Darkness Sundown Edmund Fitzgerald INTERMISSION Sweet Guinivere Cotton Jenney Restless Sea of Loneliness Waiting For You Make Way for the Lady Fine as Fine Can Be If You Could Read My Mind Home From the Forest Baby Step Back CRT Don Quixote (encore) He was able to hit the notes tonight, but not with any real force behind him. Not much talking, except for 3 jokes. The band was very subdued. I could barely hear Carter's guitar, either in riffs or in solos. Mike's piano was pretty quiet too. I spoke to the sound man at the break and asked him to turn it up, but he said that's the way Lightfoot wanted it. Oh well... I took several pictures, but because I wasn't using flash they all came out blurry. Here's two of Carter that aren't horribly blurry. |
Re: Orlando, FL
My husband surprised me with this concert last night for my birthday. I enjoyed it very much. I saw Gordon Lightfoot back in the middle 80's in Canada where I am from. I was front row and very honored to meet him after. Bravo that he still loves to tour he told me!
