Gordon lightfoot?

I'm getting married in August and my Fiancee and I are looking for this song called The wedding song (There is love),but we can't seem to find it.
We've seen it on the the utorrent and shareaza but can't seem to find it in any stores.
Is there someone out there that might know how to get a hold of it or what album it's on.
Thank-you!

A common misconception amongst file sharers is that this was by Gordon in fact it was a hit for Noel Paul Stookey the Paul who sang with Peter and Mary!!

Plus the startling fact that you could get it on a CD from CD Universe

Released in 1971 and featuring the original version of WEDDING SONG, this acoustic-rock solo recording debut of Noel Paul Stookey borrows from a diverse sylistic palette; folk ballad, bossa-nova, classical and rock. The CD is sprinkled with ... tookey's identifiable 'audio trademarks' (sound effects, inside musical references and a lightness of spirit) yet manages to maintain a sincere and inspirational musical message of redemptive Love.

I think the confusion is caused by it being "kind of" similar to "If You could Read My Mind".

Sort of the same tempo.

Please forgive me for saying this (it's not that I'm jaded or anything), but together the two songs form sort of a package. You have "The Wedding Song" at the start of the marriage and "If You Could Read My Mind" at the....

I'd never put the two songs together that way, but very true. Fortunately, my beautiful bride and I are going on 30 years still hearing the Wedding Song.

I've heard the song you chose several times & I think that you picked a wonderful piece for the wedding. May you have a beautiful & blessed day in August.:)

I too would like to have "The Wedding Song" played at some point on my special day(if it ever comes),but my bf doesn't like the song.if he has his way,I'll be walking down the aisle to either "Everybody Was
Kung Fu Fighting",or "Hong Kong Phooey"(Sadly gang,I'm NOT joking.Thats REALLY what he wants!)

With the right choreography coming down the aisle, that could be one of the few weddings that are actually more fun than the reception. :)

Maybe, but you don't understand my family.I seriously doubt that it will win either my bf or I any brownie points with them if it happens
My bf's family might laugh their butts off though.
