I just remembered the first time I heard a Gord song on a TV series. "I'm Not Supposed To Care" was used on an episode of the 1970s series "James at 15". I don't remember much about the series, except it starred Lance Kerwin (who I haven't heard about since) and was quite daring for its time.

Wow, I vaguely remember that show. Didn't James run away from home or something? I think there was a second season called James at 16.

That show morphed into "James At 16". I believe Lance Kerwin is now some kind of holy roller in Canada.

doing a google search I've read he's still preaching and is in Hawaii, no mention of ever having been in Canada as a 'holy roller.' I've never heard of him or the show he was in..cute kid tho..

you may have mistook the CA abbreviation for Canada instead of California

well, i was 15 when the show first aired and it lead to some razzing...but i did not have that Beiber-ish hairstyle...imo, skin tone was the only common thread

well, i didn't realize GL's people had ever ok'ed a tune for use on any tv series

it would be nice to hear a suitable GL tune pop up in a good feature film one day

man, he must have a fat bank account (or at least mom does)

i don't see him ending up skidding on Kirwin or Bonaduce row anytime soon

he just launched his nail polish line...a shade is named for each tune, wheeee

I don't recall music from the show but I did see a few shows then. (Despite being like 9 or 10).

I didn't "quite" get what he was all about but I recall the show where he & his girlfriend were camping outdoors i guess and their in a sleeping bag.

He gets up out of it to go get something and goes back. I had no way of knowing he was getting "protection". Yes,very controversial for 70s TV.

I think there was another episode about this girl,his family had moved away and he calls her,only to find out she's gotten together with a new guy in school.

I rememeber when they changed it to "16" , not long after that it was cancelled.
