Hula Hoop Song.
 

Thought I'd bring this up again.


It has been mentioned this was the first song he ever written but never recorded and though It's been mentioned here it was reocrded by Geogia Gibbs, I've also heard that this isn't the same song.

So do we know that actual truth to this?

must be a different song..somewhere along the way in conversation/interviews in the last 45 years I'm sure Gordon would have mentioned that someone DID record it but not him.
He took his song home and that was that..He moved on ...

Gord wrote 'his' version a few years (1955) before the well known song that Gibbs and Teresa Brewer recorded

I believe Gord rapped a stanza or two of his during the MMM special

Gord Sr. lent his car to Jr. so he could trek to Toronto with it in his excited hands...it got the BMI thumbs down

it was either dud-ish or perhaps he was ahead of his time once again....

...wonder what Gord thought when he heard the 1958 versions on radio
