Seven Island Suite

Recently, I have been into the song Seven Island Suite. I don't know how well known this song is, but it is one of my new favorites. From my perspective, the song is talking about a place where people can go and live a more relaxed life in moderate seclusion. I have always thought about Michigan's Upper Peninsula when I hear this song, but is there an actual place that he is referring to?
One other thing-what does having "chicken to go" mean? It seems like a strange lyric, but I know Gordon meant something by it.

This is what Gordon Lightfoot writes about the song "Seven Island Suite" in the booklet of his Songbook 4 CD Box Set (1999) ! :)

'SEVEN ISLAND SUITE'

"The entrance going down to Port MacNichol from the eastern extremity of Lake Huron into Georgian Bay. There are three smaller islands closer in and four magnificent islands farther out. It was a vacation spot when I used to go sailing. The boat was named Sundown, incidentally. A romantic ballad about the rigors of everyday life and getting back to nature."... ~gl~
