Own the Podium
perhaps Tiger can make that claim today (rather than those impressive American winter Olympians:) ) following his public address
he only hurt the one(s) he love(d) http://abcnews.go.com/Health/video/t...pology-9889559 now she could be acting, but if she could act that well, she probably would have chosen a different film genre ps) go Canada go:) ...i really love seeing the faces (such young skin complections) of all the young competitors from ALL nations :clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::c lap::clap:....btw, those first two gold medal (the melted down ones, lol) winners for us sure have bright smiles:biggrin: |
Re: Own the Podium
the only 'sorry' he didn't express is the one for 'getting caught'..
lol he loves himself. first. only. he talks a good talk.. end of story. bye bye.. |
Re: Own the Podium
Own the podium ? Thank you for the opportunity.......
------------------------------------------------- Good evening, and thank you for reading this. None of you in this forum are my friends. None of you in this forum know me. None of you have cheered for me or worked with me or supported me. Now every one of you has good reason to be critical of me. I want to say to each of you, simply and directly, I am deeply sorry for my irresponsible posts. I know people want to find out how I could be so selfish and silly. My real apology to you will not come in the form of words, it will come from my behavior over time. I am also aware of the pain my behavior has caused to those of you in this forum. I have let you down. I know I have bitterly disappointed all of you. I have made you question who I am and how I could have done the things I did. I am embarrassed that I have put you in this position. For all that I have done, I am so sorry. I have a lot to atone for, but there is one issue I really want to discuss. Some people have speculated that jj somehow hurt or attacked me . It angers me that people would fabricate a story like that. jj never spammed me. There has never been an episode of spamming, ever. jj deserves praise, not blame. The issue involved here was my repeated irresponsible behavior. I was silly. What I did is not acceptable, and I am the only person to blame. I stopped living by the core values that I was taught to believe in. I knew my actions were wrong, but I convinced myself that normal rules didn't apply. I was wrong. I was silly. I don't get to play by different rules. The same boundaries that apply to everyone apply to me. I brought this shame on myself. I've had a lot of time to think about what I've done. My failures have made me look at myself in a way I never wanted to before. It's now up to me to make amends, and that starts by never repeating the mistakes I've made. It's up to me to start living a life of non-silliness. I once heard, and I believe it's true, it's not what you achieve in life that matters; it's what you overcome. Maturity in this forum are only part of setting an example. The mentally ill used to point to me as a role model for their kids. I owe all those families a special apology. I want to say to them that I am truly sorry. It's hard to admit that I need help, but I do. For 2 days in January , I was attending classes on 'twittering'. I have a long way to go. But I've taken my first steps in the right direction. As I proceed, I understand nobody has questions. I understand that nobody wants to ask me for the details about the times I was silly. Nobody has made up things that never happened. They said I used improper links. This is completely and utterly true. I recognize I have brought this on myself, and I know above all I am the one who needs to change. I owe it to you to become a better poster. That's where my focus will be. I have a lot of work to do, and I intend to dedicate myself to doing it. I would like to thank my friends at Walmart for understanding why I'm making these remarks today. Thank you. |
Re: Own the Podium
I'll be watching you RM...oh yeah...the silliness is over. Consider yourself warned.
great post!! loved it... and I note you didn't apologize for getting caught either..but nobody cares. lol!!! |
Re: Own the Podium
It's about time, RM. I only wonder what took you so long to "own it." Oh, I forgot. You were in online rehab. Plus... I thought *I* was the "only one"... Turns out you not only had chicks stashed in every corner of this website but all over the world wide web as well. CHEATER! I'm a GOOD girl. I don't mind having a filthy 3 year tryst with a married man but he better darn well not be seeing any other skanky ho but me! *slap!* Personally, I believe you WERE using "performance enhancing drugs", Superman. So that part of your heart felt apology was a load of poopie. PS - please call me ASAP, Baby. I can't wait to see you and your millions again.
BTW - I actually don't think Tiger "talks a good talk." I've never seen a more insincere creep in my entire life. He was so full of rage at being backed into this corner and losing control he was literally trembling the entire time. Jerk. PS - When Tiger-Poo mentioned "performance enhancing drugs" I actually thought he meant Viagra and was really annoyed about it but my Dear Hubby set me straight after he stopped laughing. So "Tiger The Tiger" meant steroids? um..... oh... *never mind!* |

i thought Tiger might be able to eek out a tear at some point...the only tear i saw was from the lady to the right on mom (i think she was the Nike rep, who was still calculating the lost revenues this past few months) Tiger needed to publicly apologize months ago...in contrast, Melissa need not apologize at all...too much pressure from those dorky Own the Podium people YouTube- Broadcast Yourself. btw, it looks like Tiger got all he wanted for Xmas...his two front teeth (back) |
Re: Own the Podium
I felt so bad for her! I saw it last night and just ached for her. Even without the Own The Podium the athletes competing on home turf put more on themselves than we ever could..
Some folks (canadians and others) don't like the fact that Canadians are actually saying - "Hey! we're here to win!" No more 'oh it's just nice to be here!' crap! lol Tiger had the podium and still lost. |

http://olympics.thestar.com/2010/art...mpics-coverage
i tried to check out an nbc coverage sampling of the ca/usa hockey match last night but they were showing ice dance (not the one team canada was doing;) ) not even sure if the US masses realized they won their first Olympic game against us in 50 years...and their juniors also stopped our 5 year domination streak a few months ago...this is the greatest hockey tourney ever, such even competition amongst many nations, it's hard to believe Bettman isn't approving a 2014 commitment already do you have to have a big cable package in order to watch live hockey down there? |

Comcast is my cable provider's name.........raising rates is their game. As an aside......Comcast recently acquired NBC-Universal.......the future should be interesting. |

I live in North Carolina - NASCAR country. Too bad we're not big fans. (or fans of any kind) ESPN's senior NASCAR expert is a neighbor. He always has these TV truck thingies (RF Feed?) parked in front of his house. It must be nice to have the "office" come to you... He's kind of funny on TV. When he gets all worked up, as he often does, his face gets all bloated & red and he actually looks like he's going to explode. eek. |
Re: Own the Podium
misty, my cure for insomnia = late night speed/racing channel....so boring
rm, agh, i found out that MSNBC is NOT one of the 899 channels i am paying $89.99 a month for but that i can get if for an extra $2.99 a month....what a steal useless trivia: your nbc news anchor as well as our ctv olympic anchor are both named Brain Williams...i warned you it was useless ok, lastly, the hockey tourney aint quite over, actually it's 'starts' tonight there are 6 wonderful teams, it's really like old Original Six hockey, eh:) we could use the extra game to gel...after Ger we have to get through Russia and probably Swe to make it to the Gold medal game the USA should coast by Switzerland (we didn't, lol) before likely meeting the unpredicatble Czechs then likely Finland before hopefully a Can rematch:) Russia has the most talented powerplay (Malkin, Ovechkin, Kovlachuck or Datsyuk...Gonchar and Zubov on the blueline) so better play disciplined Sweden won the whole thing back in 2006 and the USA back in 1980 it's a tall order but it would make for a well earned Gold be it Can or USA btw, I can name 20 guys who didn't get picked for Canada's squad that might make it as a Gold medal group...i think our not naming a #1 goalie following camp was not wise...it's easier playing goal (like the stellar Miller) without having to look over your shoulder...anyhow, enjoy all the action, folks:clap: |

Re: Own the Podium
while I love the NHL and the Olympics, I have never been a fan of professional/hi paid NHL players taking hockey spots from young amateur talent who are just as deserving if not more of a chance to highlight their talents and be seen on the big stage the Olympics offers.
and if a number one NHL player (or any other player for that matter) gets hurt so bad at the Olympics and has to miss the rest of his season on a potential Stanley Cup winning team I don't think the fans in that city will be none too pleased.. |
Re: Own the Podium
Last I heard the NHL was hedging their bet but saying they didn't think it worked for them in 2014. We'll see.
I would rather it was still amateurs. I can see Broduer and Parisi amongst others any time I want. they play right here in Jersey. Heck, if there were NHL guys in the 1980 Olympics the Miracle on Ice wouldn't be anything special. |
