Seeking Lightfoot Autograph Help

As I mentioned before, I am a long time listener of Lightfoot, this is due to growing up with my father's great taste in music.

My father has been following Gordon Lightfoot since the late sixties, buying every album, learning to play the songs on guitar and attending many many concerts.
However he has not been successful in obtaining an autograph, although in 1998 at a concert in Boulder, CO we were two feet from the man himself - yet had nothing for him to sign!

I have written letters to the Yonge St address but now understand they are unable to fulfill autograph requests as they are not equipped for such publicity.

This may seem trivial to some, but it would mean a great deal to my father if I could acquire an autograph. Now older and infirmed, my father does not have the means to travel, nor will Lightfoot be passing through CO anytime soon.

Please, if you have any sources where I could buy an authentic autograph (not for an extensive amount) or are willing to Sell/Trade one you may have or could help obtain it for me I would be forever grateful.

Thanking you in advance,
Marie

Hey Marie.in my own experience in receiving celebrity autographs, the best way is tio mee them face to face.

When I met Alice Cooper and the late Wolfman Jack & Fred "Rerun" Berry, they were all in regular places. The meetings however were just our paths crossing at that time.

In Lightfoot's case it's easy, just attend a concert and wait outside for he and the band and there's pretty much over 90% chance to get an autograph. :)

Gord autographed my copies of "Sit Down Young Stranger" and "Early Lightfoot" plus ticket stubs & other things. I even had my picture taken with him. He's not as difficult to meet 7 greet with as other celebrites are.

Heck,Gordon is nothing like a celebrity,thank goodness.

Marie - If you send a personal note to EMP in Toronto asking for an autographed pic and send along a stamped self addressed envelope for them to mail it back to you I'm sure you'll receive one..

Hi Marie,
Please let me know if the EMP route does not pan out. I have an autographed ticket stub from the seventies (somewhere) that I would be willing to part with.

For the first time I attempted to get an autograph from the Man. After the concert in Grant's Pass, Oregon, I waited outside where the bus and the trucks were. I guess he and the band were still busy inside. Fair enough; maybe another day. Happy 71st Birthday!!!
