Gord in Omaha - October 1, 2009
 

My goodness, how time flies. I cannot believe it's been almost a MONTH since my friend from Denver, CO and I met in Omaha to see Gordon in concert. Afterwards, 6 or 7 of us stood in the cold and wind (but not nearly as cold as in Davenport, Iowa in March 2009 - that was downright FRIGID) for over an hour to wait to see the man himself. Unfortunately, it was too cold for Gord to be out long and some of us didn't get a chance to speak with him.:( Mostly, however, it was because one person monopolized his time by having him sign 5 or 6 items. It's too bad she didn't think about the rest of us. :mad:

I did manage to snap a few pictures during the concert. Also, the last picture is of my friend from Colorado with Gord. I don't think she'll mind that I posted this photo. She waited for 35 YEARS to meet Gordon and I was going to make darn sure that it happened that night.

Better late than never! Thanks for posting these pics. I like the fourth one with Gord looking down at his guitar. Glad your friend finally got to meet Gord.

The pics are great. The quality matches the one you took in Davenport. We were looking forward to making it to Omaha to see Gordon. But things didn't work out this time. It was great to have met you and to become friends at the concert in Davenport.
Erin says hi. As you know we've been working on getting another special event planned for the two of us..... hmmmm.. I wonder if Gord could sing at it?
