The Eyebrows

I've noticed it in the past, but most recently while watching the Elwood interview linked by JJ. Gordon has the most expressive eyebrows I think I've ever seen! It's got to be a sign of great intelligence, right? Well, it's charming anyway.

Guess it's particularly of interest to me because my father, who passed away recently, could raise an individual eyebrow in that same expressive, mischievous way...one of my sisters can do it, but though I've practiced and practiced, it is never going to be one of my talents...

Raising an individual eyebrow and guitar playing are NEVER going to be one of my talents no matter how hard I try.

Sorry to hear about your father Bonnie

Yes and Gord has a pretty expressive wink too!

animated gif saved from the 60th birthday card feature that at at one time was featured on David Sims old website
David had a rather nice little website hosted by the old geocities free website organisation at
www.geocities.com/Athens/Oracle/2714/

Unortunately no viewable set of the site was archived and
geocities became part of Yahoo but
GEOCITIES IS CLOSING ON OCTOBER 26, 2009
David's website has long since gone to the great cyberspace graveyard but unfortunately no viewable set of the site was archived
David tried to replace it with a Yahoo group that he somewhat optimistically and grandiloquently entitled "Yahoo Gordon Lightfoot fan club" at:-
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group...htfootfanclub/

but unfortunately for a long time now David has ignored his creation with the result as those of us who are still members know that virtually all messages there are now the mindles drivel of perverts and other malefactors and so that I suspect that like me most members have now unsubscribed
For those not around at the time ten years ago if anybody cares to read the 60th birthday card I have it preserved on my own website at:-
http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/LIGHTFOOT/BDCARD1.HTM

Whilst searching for the Yahoo fanclub group site I noticed yet another fledgling board at:-
http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group...ightfoot_Fans/

Bonnie,
So sad to hear about your dad. What a sweet memory you have of him. He sounds not only intelligent but a wonderful fun dad for you and your siblings.

Re: The Eyebrows

the eyebrows are part of 'the look' he gave me when I was videotaping him last sunday in Hamilton..
I wanted to laff out loud but had the camera rolling..

Bonnie's dad was a lovely, vital, hard working, gentle man and I am so glad to have had the chance to spend time with him in April when I was in Alberta. Many of our conversations in the short two days I was with Bonnie always had a wonderful story about her childhood that centred around her dad. She has some beautiful memories of him.
