New YouTube offerings
 

Hey folks,
I stumbled upon this one and thought I'd share it with you, my corfidian brethren (I mean this in the non-gender specific way of course)...

This was a total surprise as I was listening to Golden Earring's Radar Love... And while Black Day in July isn't one of my favorites, I did enjoy it a bunch.

I hope this video displays properly, if not just use the link instead... it's well worth the effort!

"Black Day In July" is the first Gordon Lightfoot song I heard in the late 60's. Made me buy the Album, "Did She Mention My Name" which had the song on it. And after listening to that album a few times, it's been Lightfoot's music ever since.

If it wouldn't have been for that song, today I would probably have the entire Glen Campbell collection...

The thing that amazed me about ~gl~ way back then, me being 14 years of age, was on the back of his albums you would read: " All songs written & composed by Gordon Lightfoot." That to me was really amazing... He would sing them really good, and he was the guy who wrote them... Genuis ! :)
