Lightfoot living room shows?
i was thinking about this before... Jeff Tweedy (from Wilco) does about 2 or 3 every year. usually to a group of 30 fans at a time. the members of the group of 30 bid for it and all the money goes to a charity that Jeff specifies. the group that raises the most money (usually close to $30,000), gets a solo show, but only Chicago for him. it's not a cheap show but to have one of your favourite artists come to your house and play requests for 2 or 3 hours, it's worth it, eh?
anyone want to mention a similar story to EMP for Gord to do the same in his home town?. i'm sure there's charities that he supports!. it could be a hoot for you Canadians! |
Re: Lightfoot living room shows?
Can't see that happening with Gord, although in past years I thought I saw private event listed now and then. Ian Tyson does private shows, as does Tom Rush.

Re: Lightfoot living room shows?
I think Lightfoot does private shows that are for 'business' functions, possibly related to a charity..never heard of a 'house concert' for fans tho.
