Gordon Lightfoot Forums - CHARLESTON tix for FREE-may 9/09

"Good day to all from Richmond. I got to meet podunklander and Kevin, as well as a couple of young guys who are new Lightfoot fans. Gord sounded great and looked like he had put a little meat on his bones. Fashionista that he is, he's still wearing what I call the red velvet smoking jacket (before intermission) and then came back wearing a dark grey-black vest, and the band is playing really tight! It was a great concert, I even got some pix I'll try to load this weekend or send to Char so she can put them on corfid!

Gord said, when introducing "Spanish Moss" - "I met the most BEAUTIFUL woman in Charleston years ago and wrote this song for her. I wonder what she looks like after 35 years..." After the song, he said, "Wrong - I think it was Georgia." So, for all you Charlestonians and Georgians who might have met Gord 35 years ago, he's looking for you!

And, along that line, I have two good tix for Charleston's Saturday concert for free; my plans have changed and I have to get home to California. If you're interested, call me at 916-216-4667 and leave a message if it's on voicemail (I might be on a plane, and I didn't bring my laptop on this trip.) We can decide whether or not the best way to get them to you is to scan them or Fed Ex them - if you want them Fed Exed, I'd appreciate you paying for it!
