Pandora

Maybe I'm late in finding this website, but if you go to www.pandora.com and type in Gordon Lightfoot for the Artist, you will get him & many others of similar genre. Tell me what you you think. I'm still exploring Pandora.

Re: Pandora

BendRick - I logged into it via your hyperlink and once I saw it, I remembered seeing it and trying it before. Nevertheless, I keyed in Gordon Lightfoot, got IYCRMM and it stated that was a representative song, and the music genome project would assemble other songs that shared similar qualities.

I couldn't get it to play any others that were 'similar' - could you ? Maybe I was just impatient. Its the same thing that happened before. Thats a lot of esoteric and subjective programming going on to support that concept with any alacrity....I am currious if it just takes a while to compile a station. Did u get any other 'similar' songs ? They are unclear as to when other songs are available. I thinnk....

Hey Rick,

Pretty interesting concept. So far the songs it's added / suggested are all in my collection so I guess it works as intended. After GL it played America and then James Taylor. This would be great for work if all stuff like this hadn't been "blocked" over the last few years.

Bill :)

Yes Rick I guess you are.See my thread at
http://www.corfid.com/vbb/showthread.php?t=18380
to which I gave the snappy subject title
"Pandora radio presents GL"
But perhaps you wwre away on
the November the11th when
the lovely lady formerly known as
Lavender used another old thread of mine to make a point and I then rediscovered Pandora myself:-

John Fowles, you are correct that I missed the posts about Pandora in "GL on the Radio." Pandora is alright, but I wish when I select "Gordon Lightfoot" I would just get GL, not all the other artists of his genre. I don't need to hear John Denver, Cat Stevens, James Taylor, etc., I just want to hear GL.
