What Are The Odds Meeting DSR?
 

This should have been posted months ago but still is a neat story.

When the family went to see Gord in W. Virginia in June, DSR posted her seat information. I was in a hurry, marked her info on a sheet of paper and stuck in my pocket.

I sort of forgot about it until we were seated for the concert. Before the show started, there was a lady seating directly behind me and I overheard her conversations with the people around her. She was talking about Gord and his concerts. This lady knew what she was talking about! She had to be a Corfid member.

I pulled out the sheet that had DSR's info on it..... guess what?... DSR is sitting directly behind me. I could not believe it. What are the odds of this?

Anyway, I introduced myself and we both starting gabbing away. We had a VERY nice time and it was a pleasure to meet her husband also.

I think it was the only Corfid member I ever met. It was a "treat" meeting her and her husband making it even a more special night!

I was the lucky one getting to meet you and your family. You looked so elegant in your suit. You are a very nice looking family and Gordon really enjoyed talking with you and signing your treasures.(You can tell about them if you wish)

I have met some very special people in the last two year. Who knew Corfid would bring us together. It is true that if people PM me before the concerts I will be at that they will get a little surprise just like you did.

The photo story...

About twenty five years ago we saw Gord in Columbus Ohio and we just happened to "bump" into him as he was coming into the theatre. My wife snapped the pic of me & Gord and of course, I still have that picture.

When I saw Gord in June I brought out the picture for him to sign. Gord laughed when I handed him the pic and said "here's two guys who haven't changed a bit"...

I showed the pic to Rick Haynes and he questioned if that was really me....

If I can find the instructions on posting pictures here at the web site, you would see why Gord laughed.
