Has gordon been asked to help out with the winter olympics in vancouver?

Has anyone asked gordon to perform or help out with the winter olympics in vancouver? I think it would be a great idea to include him in the opening or closing ceremonies. :)

I"ve not heard or read anything along those lines. Don't know that he/his music would fit into the plans they have..

In my opinion these big events makes him a little nervous, with Ian Tyson in Calgary he looked nervous to me. But you never know, that was back in 1988...
