ha, they got some of the high/low notes wrong at the end of a line during the first few verses!. still quite funny.

I wonder why on earth they would have Grover singing such a tune? Any clues on that one?

That's right. It's a Grover imposter. Someone in their house playing with a puppet. I think he does a pretty good job with the voice, though.
