Having trouble opening this one, Char. Might be the squiggle in front of the word $TheRiverboat.

Re: At The Riverboat-1969 review
Haven't heard of the bass player mentioned in the article - Paul Weidman? Was he just sitting in?
Also, the "Gay Nineties Room" reference ... these days, something like that would likely be in the Church-Wellesley area. |
Re: At The Riverboat-1969 review
Just did a search and it looks like he played bass for Ian and Sylvia too ... including, if I'm not mistaken, on Four Strong Winds.

Thanks, Char, that worked. Gerda Munsinger? I wish somebody had tape of those Riverboat shows; what a gold mine they'd be.

thanks char, nice to take break from bit of busy stretch and read this and other fine current reviews - i actually dont like to read too much about current tour until my eve with GL is behind me - same goes for film, i am not one who watches trailers, when the chance arise i like going into a theatre pretty much cold turkey, anyhow I am on a fatigue-induced tangent
FYE (for your enlightenment) the attached postcard i recently revived from a groovy but now deceased family members keepsakes might help convey the Yorkville area vibe to non-locals (which seems to comprise the entire corfid community minus 4 or 5 members) take care for now and continued happy concert going, jims |
