Do you like to fly or fly in airplanes?

but i do like to fly in airplanes...

I love airplanes!

I love to fly in planes. My father was a pilot and he owned two small planes, so flying was a normal thing to us. Unfortunately, I can't fly right now due to the brain aneurysm I had in August. There is really no chance of that particular spot bleeding again, but the doctors aren't sure about the rest of my brain. It could be worse. They could be unsure about whether or not I even have a brain!

No for me. If God had wanted us to fly, he would have given us wings! :eek:

He gave us the brains to know better than to attempt flying, but not the common sense. :(

More people drive in cars than they fly planes.
(Thankfully) you usually don't have irresponsible and immateur people flying planes. In most places, driving a car is safer. (I think) :)

Even if fly IS safer than driving, that right there is reason enough to not want to fly. If I saw the crash coming, I'd probably die of a heart attack before the crash actually happened. :D :eek:

I Love Airplanes and I have a pilot's license. A bum leg keeps me from flying alone anymore, so I really haven't acted as a pilot in some time.

I've flown single engine 2 seaters, 4 seaters, a twin engine, taildraggers a WW2 warbird and a Sterman biplane. My job has had me in helicopters too, although I can't fly one.

Do I enjoy flying in commercial airliners? Not really. While I understand the delays, etc., better than many, air travel is indeed a hassle.

Well airplanes beat most any other mode of flying through the air, LOL. *I* don't mind it but my stomach sometimes has other ideas. I'm a lifelong sufferer of motion sickness, so cars are no better - I have gotten carsick backing out of a driveway. Buses, ditto. Boats? We don't go there. Trains, oddly enough, are the only form of transport I've never been ill on, in spite of the rocking motion. Must be because there's more room to move, get up and walk between cars, etc. I'm still waiting for that darn transporter to be perfected.

A good helicopter ride, you can see strait down. Over the green dark forest, and the wild majestic mountains, only the trains in the rockies, beat that...

never been in one. don't like the open view concept....lost a cousin-in-law a few years back off the Maldive islands.he was a helicopter pilot at a resort there but someone else was flying him and some other employees back to the resort in a new helicopter. it was hardly out over the water when it crashed. seems a kotter pin hadn't been put in the rotor mechanism properly. But i wasn't fond of helicopters long long before that happened....
I'll go up the CN Tower and stand on the glass floor, fly in a plane but won't go up a ladder much past the 4th step or so!

We have a police helicopter here in town-my goodness that thing is annoying but it gets it's criminal every time!

Sorry to hear about your cousin in law, losing her precious life for a cotter pin not being properly installed. That's too bad. Look at the late great John Denver, piloting his own plane. And it nose dive, he saw death coming right at him. Must have been a few terrorizing seconds. Too bad... :(

Yeah I like to fly. I really enjoy the feeling of the engines firing up before take off. And it is always cool to look down at the earth below as you're taking off.

Now boats: they both scare and intrigue me at the same time.

And motorcycles... My husband has a Harley and it took me forever with much coaxing just to ride around the cotton pickin' block, and then only after he swore 100 X not to exceed 20 mph. So far I've made it around the block twice... I know, I know, brave little trooper ain't I? :D
