a very nice find J-J
I saved the compact Flash Video File YouTube - The Late Great Johnny Ac.flv using youtube grabber then converted it to the MUCH more user friendly mpg format Using SUPER and as this screenshot confirms was then able to play it using Windows Media Player http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/images/Paul_simon.jpg and make a fine mug shot to boot http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/images/Paul_simon2.jpg and the over zealous fan:- http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/images/Paul_Simon_Fan.jpg details of those two fine bits of freeware are at:- http://www.johnfowles.org.uk/Tutoria...s_tutorial.htm and those two screenshots were simply made using another fine bit of freeware:- Gadwin Printscreen I have had to replace my usual screenhunter screenshot program which is playing dummo on this PC's main hard drive Note such screenshots from a Windows Media Player playback are only possible after reducing WMP's video acceleration to "Nil" an easy procedure:- WMP menu bar Tools>Options>Perormance then use the slider to reduce the acceleration from full to nil that avoids capturing a black screen and does not appear to affect video playing if left in nil ad infinitum John Justn tying to help [ February 12, 2007, 10:10: Message edited by: johnfowles ] |
Very impressive John. Great mugshot as you so eloquently called them. This concert I do have it in it's entirety, on VHS Tape. I was watching it the other night, and thought to myself it must be on You Tube. Practically all the songs from the concert are on YOU TUBE, as I checked it out this morning...
The Joan Baez performance on The Grammys will most likely appear on YOU TUBE sooner than later... :) |
Thanks John! Now I have a way to save my fav videos :D

Why do people try to approach artists on stage?
They know darn well they're going to get dragged out of the show,so what's the point? |
