It's cool and rainy here today, a hint that fall is coming. My favorite season!
I took these pictures a few years ago.
Enjoy :D

I love autumn. I just hate knowing that the next season is winter... a very long, cold winter here in Northern Maine.

Actually i think it has something to do with a stoopid and obscure obfuscation by Yahoo who I have previously found to be stand-offish in allowing you to link (or not) to a picture stored on one of its groups.I have now sent a PM to Jennifer and saved the text for use in a tutorial on displaying pictures on corfid

Count me in as another autumn (and spring) lover. I cannot handle the heat, and by coincidence, today was the first day I "felt" autumn in the air. It was wonderful to step outside with the dogs this morning and get that first, oh so wonderful, chilly breeze.

David - we've had some autumn like nights here for a few weeks - even with temps near 90 the other day it dropped down to 50 overnight....today is only 64.....
You can bet in Orillia the nights are a bit cooler than in Toronto...

They seem to go in cycles. We had some wicked winters in the '90s, with huge amounts of snowfall. I remember one storm dumped over three feet of snow on us. It took them three days to clean the snow off our road. They actually had to cut through the drifts with a huge snowblower.
Now, we're in the warmer winter cycle. Last year was very warm, by Maine standards, and we didn't have over a foot of snow on the ground at any given time. I think we got one storm of about 18 inches, and then it turned to rain and just made a mess of everything.

It's been 65 to 70 degrees during the day most of this month, with a couple days in the low 50s. Nights are dipping down into the lower 40s. We've had one frost so far. Temps are actually below normal for this time of year. We usually get a couple weeks of dog day weather. It seems to have skipped.
