A couple of nights ago I was doing my thing in a local hostelry, and doing quite well. Or so I thought.
After about 6 songs, a punter who had imbibed a fair amount, asked me to play 'A jazz chord'. To placate him I strummed Cmaj7. No, he said, 'A jazz chord'. OK, I thought, lets get technical. I played a little 12 bar blues thing in C incorperating a series of 6th arpeggios. If I thought this would satisfy him, I was wrong. No, no, no he said. 'A JAZZ CHORD'. I just looked at him. Whereupon he started singing

'A jazz chord to say I love you, A jazz chord to say I care.

That just about sorted the night out for me http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif
