I would like to publicly thank my good friend John Hooton for allowing me to record one of his songs. John, I hope your endeavors pay off and you reach all of your goals. I wish you the best of luck and I look forward to hearing more of your material in the future.
A Thousand Thanks Walter Farmer waltsongs@lycos.com http://www.ampcast.com/waltsongs [This message has been edited by waltsongs (edited February 04, 2002).] |
Hey Walter, as a John Hooton fan (at least of the songs I've heard) I'd be curious to know which of his songs you recorded.
BTW, I followed your link to ampcast. I only had time to listen to your first song, Hard Rain, very nice http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif |
Hey John - you've been holding out on me!
lol Like janice I'm wondering which song Walt recorded as well! One of you guys better fill us in! Char |
"That Penny", a wonderful lyric/song. I am hoping John will put his vocal on top of my music. His voice is much stronger than mine. I'll probably tweek the music a bit more after I get more feedback from John. And Janice, thanks for listening. I'm still looking for Lightfoot style lyrics that I can put to music, I can work anything from completed lyrics/melodies to rough ideas.
Thanks Walter Farmer |
Hey, I know that one! It's a beautiful song and one of my favorites of John's. Some of my other favorites are Simple Words and The Game, I think that's the name of it - I've only heard that one in guitar chat. (see John, I have listened to the CD - it's great! Thanks so much for sharing it)I hope to have the opportunity to hear your collaboration soon.
BTW, John, how did your studio time go?!? I hope The Game is on the new recording. When will we be able to hear the new CD? Janice |
John has graciously allowed me to put the song on my web site. It is toward the bottom.
