In slight relation to DMD3's topic of optomistic GL songs,I have this to pose. While recording side 2 of my "Borderstone Tapes" of GL songs,I noticed I had chosen quite a few songs that kids may like. I know those that have kids play,"The Pony Man" for them but what others fit into "child's play"? http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif A few of the others were,"Don Quixote","Minstrel Of the Dawn","Rainbow Trout" and "If Children Had Wings." I'm sure there's more. Feel free to agree or not. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/wink.gif Been me,later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif

When "Waiting For You" came out my son was about 12 or 13. He loved to hear "Wild Strawberries" for the reference in it to wearing polka-dot underwear. That line never failed to crack him up!

This is one hard topic. Try 'Too Many Clues In This Room'.
Or 'Make Way For The Lady' This'll teach them how to behave when there are ladies around.

It's no more difficult than your topic,do some searching! By the way,we're talking about infants to 8 or 9 year olds. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif

"Canary Yellow Canoe" -- definitely. My granddaughters like it.

My kids liked Carefree Highway when they were little. My 7 year old still likes it, but the other two are into their own music (I use the term loosely!)...All American Rejects, Good Charlotte, Avril Lavigne, etc. I think they are just trying to pay me back for making them listen to loud GL music! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Parenthood...what a Rush!!!!

I'm adding to this 7 month old thread because 2 days ago at work, over the satellite radio system I heard the '89 version of "The Pony Man". All of us here know it's kind of like a kid's song, well, the channel it was on was the "Kids Tunes" channel. That makes it official! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif By the way,it was on because we had set up a kid's party. Well, been me,later! http://www.corfid.com/ubb/cool.gif
