Does anyone have the guitar tab for the intro instrumental for Don Quixote ?
There are many postings for the chords to the entire song but I can’t seem to find a correct version for the opening interlude. Thanks |

There are many postings for the chords to the entire song but I can’t seem to find a correct version for the opening interlude. Thanks I have a tab that a friend sent to me. It's Terry's version in the key of A, capo on 2. I don't play it this way. I move the capo up to the forth fret and play it in G. I've never tabbed my version though, because I use a strange, hytbrid style of Travis picking, and it would be quite complicated to decipher it. This tab should help you. I've never played it, but it looks like it's fairly close to what Terry plays. Here's a link to it: http://cathycowette.com/files/DQ_INTRO_in_A.jpg Cathy http://www.cathycowette.com |
If you want to hear how Cathy plays it, go to the music page of her web site. Tricky to tab, and trickier to play. It's a combination of the rhythm and lead parts. Another 20 years, and maybe I'll give it a try.

I've never attempted Terry's version, because I like Red's version better, so mine is closer to Red's. Cathy http://www.cathycowette.com |
