I just got home from the show. Storrs,CT. Baby! When I found out he was coming, I ordered tickets immediatly! I could hardly believe it when I saw he was comming to CT. The Jorgensen Center in it's cabaret mode, was a cozy setting to see Gord in. He was in great form too. I was impressed. I closed my eyes and was taken back by the whole experience. I'm still somewhere on cloud nine. I just had to tell someone and I knew only other Gord fans would understand. Thanks for listening guys. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

First set, he had on blue jeans, a red shirt that said CANADA on the front, and cowboy boots. What can I say, as for looks, Well, let's just say, it's not 1974 anymore and father time has not been especially good to Mr. Lightfoot. It was his singing that really had me. First I was worried that he might not be up to snuff. I saw his concert on CPTV and I thought his pipes sounded a little rusty. But not last night. He really was excellent! Although it requires him making a lot of strained and odd faces for him to hit certain notes just right. However, it's worth it. First set included; Prove my love, Watchmen's gone,Ribbon of darkness, Sundown, Don Quixote, Beautiful, just to name a few. Second set; Gord comes out, still in jeans, white sneakers, and a white short-sleeved button-up shirt with faded fowers on it,(perhaps a Jimmy Buffet hand-me-down). He is so skinny. Like I said it's not the 70's anymore and he looks like any other old guy ready to go out and cut the grass. Sorry ladies all those beautiful curls are gone.He did Rainy Day People, Carefree Highway, The Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, If you could read my mind, Canadian Railroad Trilogy, Old Dan's records, and for his encor, In the early Morning Rain. This isn't a complete list, but it should give you a general idea. I hope this was more detailed for you. I was still floating when I got home last night, so I was pretty vague. Let me sum up by saying, He was better than I expected. I was not dissapointed one bit! Gord's still got it.
