What do you all think of this song? I like it for the fact that he mentions Orillia for the first time in a song, and for that click-click percussion, whatever kind of beat that is. He does mention the name of the lake a bit much, but it's a catchy tune and one of my favorites on "Harmony".
Love it, hate it, OK with it, what's your opinion everyone?

I actually quite enjoy the song. I know others have expressed disdain for it, but while it is quite simple and is somewhat repetitive, it is catchy. I also enjoy the percussion. I know that it is a good tune, because my 4 year old son sings along everytime I put it on the cd player. He enjoys it. He's learned the words and loves to sing it. It's one of those tunes that stays with you. http://www.corfid.com/ubb/smile.gif

Well at first I liked it a lot and then after hearing it LIVE in Hamilton I love it.

Maybe it's a guy thing ?

I like it because it honours not only the area he where he grew up it also honours the native people of the area - the Rama natives. the chantlike sound/drumming etc.is very much like a tribal song.
I have to be in the right mood but I do like it. And it seems Lightfoot enjoys singing it! Bonus!

Well it's one of the only Lightfoot my 10 year old sister likes...
