I can't seem to get to the "Gordon Lightfoot" page on ebay. Been like that for a couple of days. Is it just me?

Must be just you Gloria

Hi
I like to check every day to see if there are any new interesting items and devised a simple short link that automatically opens the GL results page sorted newest items first to make checking easier
you and anyone else so inclined are very welcome to use it:-
http://www.ebaylightfoot.shorturl.com.
There are currently 190 items including the Underground label re-issue of "Spin Spin"
http://i7.ebayimg.com/03/i/04/a0/a4/94_1_b.JPG
and the nice sheet music volume

"The Music and Verse of Gordon Lighfoot"
on sale from:-
Item location: Noarlunga Centre, South Australia
for currently 6 Aussiebucks
AU $6.00
(Approximately US $4.63)
Not to mention tickets for the upcoming concerts at Reading,Glenside,Detroit,Aurora and Wolftrap
http://i7.ebayimg.com/02/i/04/8f/8e/5d_1_b.JPG
Gord with preumably "wheatfieldsoul" from Indianapolis who apparently cannot use her ticket for Wolftrap is she a corfid reader I wonder??
the title bar says
eBay - gordon lightfoot, CDs, Records, Music Memorabilia items at low prices
I am most amused by the listing's heading:
where at the top of the listing it states:-
Search title and description
Related Searches : jars of clay, edmund fitzgerald, redbone
anybody have any idea what "jars of clay" or"redbone" have to do with the price of fish here??

Thanks, John. That worked. I had GL saved in my ebay favorite searches and for some reason it just stopped working.

interesting GL on ebay was brought up. I was just there and I saw a single release to BDIJ and while the label was white, another time i was there and saw another copy of the record and the label was red. how to you explain that?

Duh scratches head furiously.what do you think of:-
1.
they changed the printing ink colo(U)r from duh white to duh Red
2. they ran out of red ink as they were making big losses
seriously
3 I have a suspicion that it was common for promo copies of vinyl albums and singles to have plain white labels to signify that they were the highest quality pressing from the best master to impress disk jockeys as much as possible hence thes are presumed by vinyl collectors to be better and thus command a higher price.Right Walter or fortyfivesfrank in Ohio??
Now that vinyl has been supplanted by CD'S of which all copies are to all intents and purposes identical and therefore all should be perfect
White labels are no longer necesary
Unless anybody knows different??
John Fowles
""You know what? I'm too humble. I'm humble to the point of feeling inferior most of the time. And I've had this treated because I suffer from depression. So I can talk to you about that, but it's a very nebulous topic."

Lightfoot says he's been fighting depression since "I came face to face with my mortality at age 10.

"With some people, it happens a little bit later in their lives. You realize you're gonna die. It hits everybody between the eyes like a big stone around pre-adolescence. It hit me when I was 10, and I've been depressed ever since."

While he doesn't feel he's particularly gifted, Lightfoot does own up to one characteristic
I'm a very practical person"
Just part of a great Lightfoot article at:-
http://www.octopusmediaink.com/Lightfoot.html

And in case that link doesn't work (didn't for me - it came up ashttp://www.octopusmedia%3Cb%3E%3Ci%3Eink%3C/i></b>.com/Lightfoot.html when I clicked on it) here's another try at it: http://www.octopusmediaink.com/Lightfoot.html

Or you can Google octopusmedia +Lightfoot

Thanks Annie
I guess I was just trying to be too clever!!
In my own defence I wanted something connected with GL containing the keyword "ink"
I usually google for "Lightfoot Lyrics keyword" in the hope that one song or another will contain my keyword
I then emphasize that word by adding the bold and italic UBB coding tags
In this case the keyword "ink" is part of that good article's URL and unfortunately as you discovered inserting such tags into a URL cocks it up

Incidentally did you realise that googling for pretty well "any three words" will produce a result.
In fact "any three words" itself leads to a joke at:-

I think I have stumbled across a product that may help clean out the multitude of cobwebs in the mind of our "teacher" Mr Fowles .
