Concert experts,
What songs are the most frequent openers and closers at Gords shows.

Frank.

Frank v, I have not seen a definte pattern on the opening song but every concert I have been to he has closed with OLD DAN'S RECORD. I am alwaysvery sad when he sings that song.

Thanks for another great topic, Frank V!

I haven't been to a concert since 1988, but
for most of that decade it seemed like "If
It Should Please You" was the opener most of the time. When it wasn't I was very, VERY disappointed since it took forever to be made
available to the public. I don't remember
a single closing song because I was usually
in complete denial that it was THE END....
Also everything after "The Edmund Fitzgerald"
was lost completely. I'm an extremely sensitive soul and that song has an effect on me like the Viet Nam Memorial in Washington, D.C.... the loss is just too
overwhelming. I would just pull a blank after
that most of the time. OH!!!! I think he may
have closed often with "Canadian Railrod Trilogy" back then, but I'm just not sure.
Americans really LOVE that one!!!

Does anyone know which previously unreleased
songs from songbook he does in concert?
