do you ever hear a Gord song, and as you listen to it, you think of a certain member on here?
"No Mistake about It" reminds me of Member# 366. "Rainbow Trout" reminds me of Sheryl. "The Watchman's Gone" reminds me of,... you guessed it. Watchman! (Although it doesn't "feel so good, knowin the Watchman's gone' :( ) |
'Georgia on my mind' isn't a Gord song but it sure reminds me of you, James. :D
|
Have I lost my way?!
|

Sir John,
I was joking! You know, being ironic ... as we Brits tend to be sometimes. Sheeeeeeeeeeeeesh! lol |

but did you win the noughts and crosses yet?? |

You possibly have not picked up on the fact that Bru as well as wearing 6 inch heels is a dizzy blonde, so as well as having more fun, she is liable to make strangely incomprehensible comments. In this case before she revealed that her question on the apparent song entited "Have I lost my way?!" was couched in "ironic" terms I mistakenly took it at its face value as yet another blonde aberation and showed another such example of how a blond might have trouble playing noughts and crosses/tic tac toe John Fowles http://img215.imageshack.us/img215/3764/transt7kc.gif |
Flyin Blind from Harmony reminds me of me Jessi-Joe.(LOL) Just Kidding!!!
|
Jessi Joe, if you think Sir John aimed an insult at you, just read the above post about blondes. He does it to me all the time. He means no harm -
it's his wierd Brit humour. But having said that, I may have to slap him when I next see him. ;) Oh ... wait on ... he might enjoy that ... ;) ;) |
Hey John, that's my favorite "Simpsons;Tree House Of Horror" segment! :) I love it when Homer and Bart become 3-D and that Tron like universe is a trip too! :D
Let's see "Don Quixote" for you John because you're British and Knights are British/English. Sheryl,I agree on "Rainbow Trout" becauae sometimes your compliments put color in my face. :) Brink would be "The House You Live In" because I think she lives by those ideas. ;) I'll try to think of more! |
Thanks B! I like that song and consider that a great compliment. ;)

Don't have a clue as to why,but everytime I here "Through the woodland through the valley", I think of Brink!!!
|
Why, Iron, that's one of Brink's fav songs, didn't cha know?
|
Yes, I can see The House You Live In relating to Brink. She's a wonderful person and it fits perfectly.
On a personal level, Changes reminds me of my first real love. Alberta Bound would be me, as though I lived in the Toronto area for 35 years, I never really cared for it. But I LOVE the west, and it always felt like home to me even though I was always a visitor and never a resident. And how many of us here at Corfid, though not nearly as famous as Gord, will relate to A Painter Passing Through when we hit the 60s years? |
For me "Rainy Day People" would apply to a lot people who post here.
|
Another excellent observation, Char!
|
The song Christian Island, "I called her Silverheels, and she tells me how she feels.
Reminds me a bit of our Bru aka Silverheels... |
You couldnt have paid me a bigger compliment, Jessi-Joe.
Thank you. :) |

Hello to you Bru, If you feel I paid you a big compliment, good and your quite welcome. :D :)
|
Hello to Sir John, my friend. Yes I do know what you mean by Home(R) from the forest. But the rest of that wonderful GL song, ain't to off either. ("His eyes were red his hopes were dead) and the wine is a running low, for the old man came home from the forest." That great song could apply to so many homeless in this world, that it is almost another masterpiece, for GL. Im not home less nor a wino. But you never know how you gone a end up in this life. My hopes have been dead, many times. Thanks Sir John. Your a good man... :) :D
