Does anyone out there know how to contact Gordon Lightfoot in person, via email or telephone (if he has the time). I am a diehard fan of his (NOT a fanatic JD Chapman type) and would like to ask him a few questions about his music. I just bought the 4 CD songbook collection and listen to it every day. Still, also, I cannot find "Daylight Katy" on CD, although I have about 10 of his disks now.
Best Regards, Bill Willyinfcva@aol.com PS: I think he may have played at the newly opened State Theatre a few miles from me in Falls Church. Can anyone verify this, and also if he'll be playing in the Northern Virginia area anytime soon? |
You can contact Gord at his office, Early Morning Productions, in Toronto. If you check some of the threads on this site, you'll find the address.
Daylight Katy didn't make the cut for the boxed set, but you can find it on Gords 1978 album "Endless Wire". It's available at CDUniverse.com for $9.79. |
I know in 2002 he was scheduled to play at the State Theater but was of course cancelled after his illness. So far there is a benefit he is doing in Hamilton Ontario and then Massey Hall in 2005. Thats all so far.
Try the thread "Rock-n-Roll hall of fame tour with dylan" for the address. Annie has typed it so many times she has it memorized. |
Actually I keep it under "Correspondence" in the "My Documents" file since I send the occasional card or two. The address is:
Gordon Lightfoot Early Morning Productions 1365 Yonge St., Suite 207 Toronto, Ontario, CANADA M4T 2P7 (416)924-1146 - phone (416)924-4086 - fax I doubt you'll find Gord himself in - I don't think he stops by the office very often. And, of course, I don't have a pesonal (home) phone number for him; if I did I wouldn't be posting it on the internet anyway. But you might get lucky. His manager is Barry Harvey and the office is run by Anne Leibold. And as far as we know he doesn't have an email address (Gord and computers being the topic of some interest here recently.)
